Watching The Eclipse

The Rockbridge Regional Library’s main headquarters in Lexington was one of the places for public viewing of the solar eclipse and related activities on Monday afternoon. Special equipment was set up so people could safely view the eclipse through pinhole eclipse viewers. Another activity allowed children to make eclipse pictures using white paint on black paper. The eclipse reached 87 percent of obscuring the sun at its peak in the Rockbridge area. (Becca Smith photo)
