Carolyn Bradley, 540-258-2720

Lots of events are coming up in the county in April, and in our immediate area here in Glasgow.

The Rockbridge Area Health Center medical unit will be at the farmers market on April 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. A drive-thru rabies clinic will take place at the first aid building on April 20 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The first annual Virginia Bandits Spring Bazaar will be held at the old Natural Bridge High School gym on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will be available for sale. For more info call Chad Bouchard at (540) 319-0966, or send email to [email protected].

The Spring Vendor Event sponsored by the Glasgow Farmers Market will take place on April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wes Young Jr. delivered the morning message at Glasgow Baptist Church this past Sunday. The congregation will make a decision on calling him as full-time pastor following morning worship this coming Sunday.

Several visitors were in attendance for morning worship this past Sunday at Glasgow Baptist, including a passing hiker from Alaska who came and graced the service with live music. He arrived early and asked if he could play the piano while waiting for the service to start. He also played for the worship service. For the past few years, all the music has been pre-recorded due to not having anyone to play the piano or organ.
