Students at Parry McCluer High School observe the aftermath of a mock crash in the school parking lot on April 11 – two days before the school’s prom – that dramatized the dangers of what can happen when teens get behind the wheels of cars on such celebratory occasions. Personnel from the city’s police, fire and rescue squad departments took part in the scripted event, as did staff from Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home. The junior class and prom committee sponsored the event.
