The Collierstown United Methodist Church celebrated Aubrey and Carolyn Manspile on Easter Sunday with the dedication of the church’s new outdoor cross. Aubrey has been a member for 85 years and together they have celebrated 64 years of marriage. As Carolyn often comments, she didn’t plan on driving all the way out here when they were first married as they lived in town. “Together they are an example of a Christian couple that puts the Lord first in all their activities,” said a church spokeswoman. “Carolyn had always said that the church needed an outdoor cross that could be part of our worship services.” Here the couple is pictured with family members Lewis Straub, Pam Myers and Donna and Kate Straub. George Dudley and Greg Dudley constructed and installed the cross and George is pictured with the family. Greg was unavailable at the time of the dedication.
