A fire destroyed a house in Arnolds Valley Friday afternoon.
The house on Crow Hill Lane, off Petites Gap Road, was occupied by five adults, two of whom were home when the fire started. One of the two was transported to Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital for nonlifethreatening injuries.
The structure itself was a “total loss,” according to Rockbridge County Fire and Rescue Chief Nathan Ramsey.
Though the precise cause has not yet been found, it was determined to be unintentional.
Ramsey said the Red Cross was contacted to provide aid to the residents.
Responding to the fire were Glasgow Fire and Rescue, Natural Bridge Fire Department, Glasgow First Aid, Rockbridge County Fire and Rescue, Kerrs Creek Fire Department, Effinger Fire Department, South River Fire Department, Lexington Fire and Rescue, and Buena Vista Fire and Rescue.
