The Buena Vista Police Department is currently investigating a homicide in the city that occurred last Tuesday night.
According to a statement from the department, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police and emergency medical services responded to a call on the 1900 block of Hawthorne Avenue.
Officers discovered Carl Agnor, 64, suffering from lifethreatening injuries. Agnor was pronounced dead at the scene.
BVPD Chief Wayne Handley told The News-Gazette this week that the department “does not believe that this was a random event and the health and safety of the public is not at risk.”
