The Rockbridge Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be conducting a free class for the public, ages 18 and older.
The Until Help Arrives program is designed to educate, and empower the public to act in an emergency and provide lifesaving care before professional first responders arrive. Attendees can learn what information to provide 911, how to stay safe, stop bleeding, position someone to help them breathe and how to provide comfort.
The class will be offered on two dates in different locations: Saturday, May 18, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Goshen Fire Department, and Saturday, June 22, 1 to 4 p.m. at Thompson Community Center in Glasgow.
Registration is encouraged but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to sign up, text or call (617) 4297941.
