The County Council of Garden Clubs once again will hold its annual spring plant sale on Saturday, May 11, on Hopkins Green from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine.
As they have for the past 20-plus years, the five local garden clubs will set up booths for area residents to find various items to purchase. They will be selling plants from their local gardens, including annuals, perenniels, houseplants, herbs and shrubs.
There may also be tools, books, baked goods and bouquets for Mother’s Day.
The proceeds cover the cost of all the hanging baskets in downtown Lexington, which are also hung in May.
