Saturday, May 11

8 a.m. to noon – Lexington- Rockbridge spring shred event , commercial material will not be accepted, bring canned pet food donations for the Rockbridge SPCA along with your documents, Maury River Middle School.

8 a.m. – Yard sale , bring what you have, pay what you can for space, Church of the Nazarene, 906 Magnolia Ave., Buena Vista; contact Sam at (540) 460 9131 for more information; rain date will be the third Saturday.

8 a.m. to noon – Goshen Fire Department’s Spring Fling, with yard sales, vendors, games and food; ceremony remembering deceased firefighters at noon.

8:30 a.m. to noon - Rockbridge Area Master Gardeners’ plant sale, Ruritan Barn, 1260 Valley Pike, featuring annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and others; activities will include live music by BruceAllen.

9 a.m. to noon - Plant sale at Hopkins Green, sponsored by the County Council of Garden Clubs, featuring local garden plants as well as bouquets, tools, books, and more.

11 a.m. (approximate) - Barbecue chicken sale, $6 per half, Raphine firehouse; no preorders, first come, first served; a drive-thru event.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Kitty Care Spring into Summer fundraiser, yard sale items, baked goods, plants, raffle, Ben Salem Community Building, Forge Road.

Al-Anon, an anonymous fellowship, provides courage, strength, and hope for those living or who have lived with those kinds of issues and problems.
