Lexington
Naloxone Policy Approved
The Lexington School Board last Tuesday voted to approve a policy for keeping and administering Naloxone.
Naloxone is a medication to treat opioid overdose, often sold as a nasal spray under the brand name Narcan.
The policy will allow Lexington City Schools to store Naloxone at both Waddell Elementary and Lylburn Downing Middle schools, and would mandate training for nurses, substitute nurses, and administrators.
