A large crowd turned out at Hopkins Green in Lexington Saturday morning for the annual spring plant sale by the County Council of Garden Clubs. The members of the five local garden clubs set up booths to sell a variety of plants from their gardens. The proceeds from the sale cover the cost of all the hanging baskets in downtown Lexington, which are hung this month. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
