Rachel Clark, (630)
The pastors at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church are reading and preaching from the parables of Jesus on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday we studied the Parable of the Sower, delighting in the generosity of God and being challenged to cultivate our lives so that we are ready and willing to listen intently to God as he speaks to us. Thank you to Laura Hotinger and Dianne Swink for providing the offertory! Next week our Sunday worship service will be at 10 a.m. (adult Sunday school only at 9 a.m.). This will be our schedule for the remainder of the summer.
Women’s Circle will be tomorrow, Thursday, at Hope Bird’s house at 7 p.m. We will discuss the obstacles that get in the away of our awareness of God’s presence.
Vacation Bible school will be June 3-6. Come on out for “Nicodemus, P.I.” And see Pastor Casey Clark with a rockin’ mustache!
Don’t miss a fun night of games plus ice cream on June 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Music Sunday and a fellowship meal will be June 9. Let Casey or Rachel Clark know if you have music to share.
New Monmouth will have a weekend retreat at Masanetta Springs Sept. 6-8. This will be a time to get away, spend time outside, read and pray together, and have some great fellowship.
Children and youth Sunday school will take a break for the summer. Anyone willing to be a Sunday school teacher for next year is encouraged to let Casey Clark know.
