The Rockbridge Baths Farmers Market will begin its season on Saturday, June 1, from 9 until 11 a.m., at the pavilion of the Rockbridge Baths Volunteer Fire Department. It will continue every Saturday during June, July and August.
Shoppers can choose from a variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, baked goods, crafts, eggs, honey, jams, and other products.
The market includes a Sharing Table where vegetables are free. These vegetables are shared by local gardeners and by the Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA).
Persons who have questions or want to be vendors should call Joan Whitesell at (540) 348-5084.
Anyone with vegetables to share can bring them to the market on Saturdays or to the home of Malcolm Brownlee, 130 Walkers Creek Road, Rockbridge Baths, on Fridays. Tables are provided free for those who sell or share.
Area residents can also arrange for someone to pick up vegetables from their home and take them to the market to share or sell. Those who want this service can call either Whitesell or Malcolm Brownlee at (540) 348-6588.
