Parry McCluer High School girls tennis senior Addisen Roberts advanced to the Region 1C singles finals before falling to Giles senior Autumn Bowles on Monday at Auburn High School in Riner.
Roberts, the Pioneer District singles champion, split sets with Bowles before falling 10-1 in a tiebreak. Earlier in the day, Roberts beat Grayson County junior Sarah Hale 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals.
The loss concludes Roberts’s high school singles career, but she’ll team up with junior Macy Shafer to compete in the Region 1C doubles tournament on Tuesday at Auburn.

As a team, under the direction of second-year head coach Alyssa Sewell, the Blues finished with a record of 9-5, going 4-2 in the Pioneer District.
