Parry McCluer High School senior Addisen Roberts and junior Macy Shafer concluded their season with a 6-0, 6-4 loss to George Wythe in the first round Region 1C doubles tournament on Tuesday at Auburn High School in Riner.
The day before, Roberts, the Pioneer District singles champion, fell to Autumn Bowles in the Region 1C singles finals, also at Auburn. Roberts and Bowles split the first two sets before Bowles won in a 10-1 tiebreak.
As a team, under the direction of second-year head coach Alyssa Sewell, the Blues finished with a record of 9-5, going 4-2 in the Pioneer District. The team portion of PM’s season came to an end with a 5-2 home loss to Grayson County on May 20 in the Region 1C quarterfinals.
The Blues will miss their three seniors: Roberts, Marley Convers and McKenna Hickman.
