Ten Parry McCluer High School baseball players received all-district recognition last weekend.
Four Fighting Blues were named to the all-district first team: senior center fielder Tanner Coleman, senior catcher Aaron Pruett, junior second baseman Brayden Holdren and junior pitcher Braedyn Houck.
The three Blues selected to the second team were junior pitcher Jase Barger, junior pitcher and shortstop Peyton Ramsey and sophomore pitcher and shortstop Tyler Wade.
Three Blues were named all-district honorable mention: junior left fielder Braden Conley, freshman third baseman Jordan Brockenbrough and freshman first baseman/left fielder Curtis King.
Under the direction of seventh-year head coach Bryan Loy, the Blues went 13-7 overall and 9-1 in the Pioneer District, winning the district regular-season title before falling at home against Narrows 16-12 in the district championship game on Monday of last week. The Blues concluded their season with a 9-0 home loss to Giles in the Region 1C quarterfinals on Thursday.
All-district honors for PM softball players will be announced later.
