The Buena Vista Police Department is investigating an incident involving a motorist and a juvenile bicyclist that resulted in a crash between the motorist
and the cyclist that occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of East 39th Street.
The 16-year-old victim riding the bicycle and was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the
vehicle remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.
This is an ongoing investigation, and the Buena Vista Police Department is requesting that any persons with information about this incident please call the Buena Vista Police Department to speak with an officer.
