Rock the Bridge, Main Street Lexington’s annual dance party, returns this Saturday, June 8, under the Nelson Street bridge.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the music starts at 6 p.m. The event will take place rain or shine.
Advance tickets are $8 and are on sale now at www.mainstreetlexington. org/events.html. Tickets at the door will be $10 (cash) or $12 (card). Children 14 and under get in free.
Rock the Bridge will feature music from ToNY CaMM & the FUNK Allstars and Hoppie Vaughan & the Ministers of Soul.
Food from Abundant Life Kitchen, Lexington Mercantile and Love All BBQ, desserts from Let Them Eat Cake, and beer and wine will all be available for purchase. The Rockbridge Regional Library bookmobile will be on site, and craft and artisan vendors for the event include Bigger Chicken Apparel, Celtic Tides, Cheese to You and Fizzdom.
Volunteers are also needed for the event. Volunteers work shifts of 1.5 to 2 hours and receive free admission, a T-shirt and a drink ticket. Afternoon setup shifts are also available.
