Rockbridge Area Health Center and Rockbridge County Schools are collaborating to provide physical exams and required immunizations for students to meet the requirements set by the commonwealth of Virginia.
The RAHC mobile medical unit will be on-site at Rockbridge County High School on June 18 from 6:30 to 11 a.m., and at Parry McCluer High School on June 20 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
All school-aged children are welcome to schedule an appointment. They do not need to be a RAHC patient, and insurance is not required.
Physical exams provided will meet the requirements set by the commonwealth of Virginia and include height and weight measurement, blood pressure and pulse readings, a full physical examination to include heart, lungs, abdomen, ears, nose and throat, and vision and hearing tests, and required immunizations will be administered during the visit. Students must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
Students who have been examined once during the period of May 1 of the current year through June 30 of the succeeding year (14 months) do not have to be examined again during that period unless they have had a serious injury or a serious illness.
To schedule an appointment or for more information, call or text (540) 464-8700, ext. 7110.
