The Parry McCluer High School boys basketball team won a pair of Pioneer District road games last week, trouncing Eastern Montgomery 61-16 last Tuesday before earning a 74-61 win at Highland County last Wednesday.
With the victories, the Fighting Blues improved to 12-8 overall and 8-2 in the district. The Blues completed a sweep of the regular-season series with both teams.
In the win over EM, Evan Cook led the Blues with 23 points and had a steal, while John Snider added 11 points and seven rebounds.
At Highland (8-8 overall, 3-8 district), Landon Catlett scored a careerhigh 35 points to lead the Blues and grabbed rebounds and seven steals. Cook added 17 points. The Blues were without their head coach, Tyler Kerr, because his son was born last week.
