In early May, members of Mountain City Masonic Lodge #67, AF&AM, as well as other Masons, Royal Arch Masons, and Knights Templar, met and honored Baldwin Gerard “Gerry” Locher Jr. with an oil portrait of his official photograph as Eminent Grand Commander of Knights Templar in Virginia from his term in 2000. Locher (shown next to his portrait) was master of Mt. City Lodge as well as Glasgow Lodge. Over 30 members were present to give Locher this honor. He knew nothing of this project beforehand, and donations for it were collected during the past year.
