Eight Parry McCluer High School athletes – four softball players and four baseball players – received all-region recognition last week.
For the PM softball team, senior shortstop Payton Emore was named Region 1C player of the year and was selected to the all-region first team. Three Blues were named to the all-region second team: senior catcher Autumn Mundy, junior pitcher Olivia Julian and junior center fielder Logan Vest.
Last month, Emore, PM’s female athlete of the year, signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and softball career at Bryant & Stratton College, a junior college in Virginia Beach, and Mundy later committed to join her on the team.
