The Glasgow Concerned Citizens will be celebrating Juneteenth on Friday, June 14, at the James Thompson Community Center, located on Catawba Street. There will be a presentation by Eric Wilson from the Rockbridge Historical Society followed by the showing of the film “Sounder.” The celebration is from 6 to 9 p.m.

Juneteenth in Lexington will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, at Richardson Park, 304 Diamond St. The celebration will kick off with Jay Johnson and the Gospel Creators from 5 to 6, followed by the GoGo band, 100 Proof, from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be food and vendors on sight. In case of rain, the event will be held in Lylburn Downing Middle School.

Please continue to pray for our sick and shut in. Continued prayers going up for Gomez Lee as he recuperates from back surgery.
