City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,to solicit input on Ordinance 202405 amending theFY 2024 budget from $52,198,311 to $52,416,650. This ordinance proposes appropriating $46,980 to General Government Administration for expenses associated with the City Manager search, a new machine for elections, and an Organizational Assessment; $95,564 to Public Safety for Lexington’s share of the new CAD system for the regional 911 center; $40,353 in Health, Education, and Welfare to support opioid abatement efforts; and $500 within Economic and Community Development to fund a grant award. In addition, the Utility Fund has requested an appropriation of $15,471within Nondepartmental to cover additional costs associated with replacing a totaled vehicle. A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Tori and Joey Bates.
