At Sunday’s Celebrate Rockbridge event, Eddie Bryant reads over the framed resolution from the Virginia General Assembly recognizing his stepson, Devin Riley, as Devin’s mother, Tammy Bryant, gets a hug from Goshen Fire Chief Mike Jolly. Devin, a Rockbridge County High School senior and a member of the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department, died last spring in a motor vehicle accident just before his graduation. The resolution, sponsored by Sen. Chris Head and Del. Ellen Campbell, noted that Devin was “a cherished member of the Goshen community whose light brightened countless lives and who brought joy to all who knew him.” Head presented the resolution at Sunday’s event.
