High Bridge

Summer worship hours continue at High Bridge Presbyterian Church as we begin service at 10 a.m. Deacons and volunteers will serve “lemonade on the lawn” after church throughout the summer.

A “Schools Out Bash” was held this past Sunday after the service. It was led by director of children’s Ministry, Donna Lotts.

The newly established men’s group will meet Wednesday, June 26, at 5:30 p.m. Please call John McCoy at (540) 7848639 for more information.

Small Group Bible Study will resume at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, in the church fellowship hall, led by Joe Hawes teaching from the book of John.

The High Bridge congregation will celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, June 30, with a picnic following the 10 a.m. service. Col. John Brodie, recently retired director of music at Virginia Military Institute, will again join us for worship. Please bring a side dish to accompany the main course being provided by the Diaconate. Dress is casual.

Mark your calendars for Aug. 25, when Sunday worship will be held at Cave Mountain Lake pavilion.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will open on Saturday, June 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. The High Bridge congregation is collecting canned meats and vegetable oil for the Food Pantry during the month of June.
