Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected] At its June/July meeting, the session of New Monmouth Presbyterian Church voted to give the quarterly investment tithe to the Kerrs Creek Fire Department, Habitat for Humanity and RARA.
Communion will be celebrated at New Monmouth next Sunday, July 7, at the 10 am worship service.
July 14 will be “Favorite Hymn Sunday,” and Pastors Rachel and Casey Clark are looking for five to six people who would be willing to share about one of their favorite hymns for a few minutes during the service.

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club met at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on June 18.
Dianne Swink welcomed and presented pins to new members Ron and Janet Perkins. The club is happy to have them.
The club will have its chuckwagon at Balloons Over Rockbridge on July 6 and July 7. Come have one of our famous hamburgers.
On Aug. 30, the club will have a golf tournament at the Lexington Golf & Country Club starting at 9:30 a.m. To enter a team, send email to Gary Swink (gwsruritan@yahoo. com) or Christy Harris (christy.harris@edwardjones. com). Money raised will support the charitable mission of the club, including scholarships to local graduating high school seniors, scouting, fire and rescue, 4-H, RATS, Hospice, Christmas Basket Program, FFA, in partnership with other local Ruritan clubs, Dictionaries to County third Graders, to name a few.
Our scholarship recipients, Emma Woody and Kayla Potter, were not able to attend the meeting but we all wish them much success with college and in the future.
Our Ruritan Club and Clubs in the Natural Bridge District have donated funds to Hunters For The Hungry. In 2023, 185,685 pounds of venison was distributed. One hundred sixty Ruritan Clubs donated $63,853.00.
Natural Bridge District Convention is Oct. 26 in Bonsack. Officer training will be held then.
The July club meeting will be held at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 16, at 6:30.
