Lexington Connection

Maria Quillin, 463-3882 [email protected]

Randolph Street United Methodist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, July 7, at 2 p.m. Asbury United Methodist Church will join us for the celebration. The Rev. Dale White, director of congregational excellence for the Valley Ridge District, will be the guest preacher. A potluck meal will be served after the service. The Rev. Reginald A. Early is the senior pastor of both churches.

Elizabeth Lee T. Merchant and Joseph “Jake” Merchant celebrated their 62nd year of marriage on June 23. God blessed them with two daughters, Pamela Robinson, who is a respiratory therapist and Realtor, and Dr. Audra Fluerici, MD and PhD. Each of them has a son. Elizabeth Lee is the person responsible for me being your Lexington Connection person weekly. Since their retirement to Tampa, Florida they wanted to maintain a connection with their Lexington family.

The Lexington High School Class of 1974 is having its 50th reunion at McKethan Park on Saturday, July 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $40 person. And it is a BYOB event. Classes 19701976 are invited.

If anyone has any social news to share, please get it to me by 5 on Sunday evening.

Wishing everyone a safe, blessed week and a Happy Fourth of July.
