The Lexington High School class of 1974 held its 50th reunion during the Fourth of July weekend. Three days of events drew 80 members of the class, along with friends, spouses, partners, and children. More than 125 people attended during the weekend. Friday’s icebreaker was held at Great Valley Brewery and Winery. Saturday’s main event convened at VMI’s McKethan Park, and Sunday’s farewell brunch and memorial service for deceased classmates took place at a private residence. Class officers described the weekend as “an ongoing celebration of the unity of the class of ‘74”. Class members from as far away as California, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and China made the trip to Lexington for the events.
