The Collierstown Presbyterian Women’s annual Church World Service “School Bag” campaign has surpassed the halfway point of filling 260 canvas tote bags with seven basic school supplies for distribution to needy students in the United States and around the world. The community is invited to help the PW reach this year’s goal by giving a financial gift to buy supplies or by filling the canvas tote bags with the needed seven school supplies. Tote bags and the required supply list can be obtained by calling the church office at (540) 463-5918. Those wishing to make a financial gift to the School Bag campaign should designate the gift for school bags and mail it to Collierstown Presbyterian Church, 31 Church Drive, Lexington, VA 24450. PW members will gladly purchase the needed supplies and prepare the bags for those donating to this effort. Filled bags are to be returned to the church by Aug. 11 for distribution. Your support is greatly appreciated.
