Editor, The News-Gazette: Why should anyone conclude Vice President Kamala Harris’ position on late-term abortion a mystery? Indeed, clues abound by the bucketful. According to the National Right to Life, on March 14, Vice President Harris became the first sitting, either president or vice president, to visit an abortion clinic, a Planned Parent facility in Minneapolis, MN after the Minnesota legislature passed the PRO Act allowing abortion-up-to-birth.
One can readily discover other clues listed on the Susan B. Anthony PRO-LIFE America’s web site such as when then Senator Harris voted against legislation to protect the lives of babies born alive after failed abortions, e.g. infanticide, and voted against all judicial nominees who supported restrictions on abortion. Moreover, in a 2023 interview, the Vice President ignored CBS’ Margaret Brennan repeated questions what abortion restrictions Harris does support.
That Vice President Harris’ position on late term abortion remains an enigma to retired physician Ellen Brock is embarrassing.
