In celebration of National Health Center Week, Aug. 4-10, Rockbridge Area Health Center is hosting a Mobile Unit Open House on Friday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kendal at Lexington. This family-friendly event promises fun for all ages and an opportunity to learn more about the services offered by RAHC.
The open house will feature tours of RAHC’s fully equipped mobile medical and dental units. In addition, health center staff and volunteers from the community will distribute school supplies to students to prepare them for the upcoming school year. Health center outreach representatives will have information about programs and services, and a voter registration drive will coincide with the event. Light refreshments, including watermelon and popcorn, will be available.
RAHC is proud to partner with Feed the Need Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Rockbridge, who, along with Walmart of Lexington, are hosting a Backto- School Supply Drive. Community members can contribute by purchasing items at the register or bringing them to the donation station by the service desk at Walmart.
“We look forward to seeing you there and sharing the exciting work we do at Rockbridge Area Health Center,” said Suzanne Sheridan, CEO of RAHC. “This event is a great opportunity to connect with the community and celebrate the vital role health centers play in providing accessible care.”
