Heavy rainfall from tropical storm Debby soaked our area last Thursday. According to NOAA’s rainfall monitoring website, 3.92 inches fell over Natural Bridge Station, while 7.55 inches fell over the mountain along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Thunder Ridge and Sunset Field. A lot of that water flowed down Back Run and Elk Creek, but thankfully did not cause any major flooding.
