On July 30-31 and Aug. 1 Rockbridge County Public Schools welcomed 25 new educators for orientation to start the 2024-2025 school year.
During this time, the new educators were introduced to software they will be using throughout the year, their new benefits package, and participated in a panel discussion with some of the best Rockbridge County Public Schools has to offer, said Rick Bain, human resources supervisor.
The group is made up of eight elementary teachers, 11 middle school teachers, four high school teachers, and two new division-level educators. These educators come with a variety of experience levels with six first-year teachers and 19 experienced teachers. Of the 19 experienced teachers, nine of these come with 10 or more years of experience.
The new educators are as follows: Gabriella Richards, Rockbridge County High School, biology and environmental science.

Jennifer Houck, division level, early childhood special educator.
