Aug. 24, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: Like the Frankenstein monster who turned on his creator, Frankentrump has turned on his creator, the Republican Party. He has tossed the Real Republicans aside, replaced them with the MAGA RINOS and plastered a Republican banner over them.
If the Real Republicans want to take their party back, they must not give their votes to Trump or any of his “henchmen” supporting his lies and policy of hate, racism, and fear which have become the Trump “mantra”.
One of the most devoted “henchmen” has been Ben Cline, a man of no integrity, who serves only one purpose - his own reelection. He hands out gun availability policies as “pacifiers” to his supporters while supporting the rich and corporate interests at the expense of working families.
We all have a far better choice in this election, Ken Mitchell. Ken is a former Real Republican who is running as a moderate Democrat. He has 24 years military service including six years in the White House under two different parties. Ken believes in starting on ground levels supporting working class families, farmers and veterans. Hi motto is, “We leave no one behind.” Ken wants to be sure working families get all the support they are entitled to. He does not cater to the rich/corporations which is Ben Cline’s “modus operandi” way of operating.
I urge the Real Republicans to join with us and put an end to this hideous chapter in our history. Reclaim your party and help reestablish what the Grand Old Party really stands for. BETH A. HOUSER Lexington
