A Reader’s Take On Project 2025

Aug. 26, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: We are now at the point where women are regarded as livestock.

VP candidate Vance, writer of the introduction to Project 2025, seems to see no difference between women and cattle, arguing women should be bred, immediately. Project 2025 recommends “disincentives,” meaning punishments, for those who refuse to breed on command. It criminalizes contraceptives, would prevent abortions to save the life of the mother, cancels IVF as a sinister ploy to avoid pregnancy and achieve the sunny vales of menopause.

Mr. Trump, who has 140 former associates working on Project 2025, of course, swears he knows nothing about it. It recommends cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the EPA — you know, vast wastes of federal money. Money has to be found to replace revenue lost by further tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, so they want to fire civil service experts. Imagine Rudy Guiliani in charge of the FDA. Be a patriot; live on less.

Forced breeding will require Vance’s hated “cat ladies” to conceive. In interviews, he says not having children is unpatriotic. Males won’t escape national service. Studs will be expected to perform. The happy nuptials will require studs to work lots of overtime — because Trump and Vance oppose raising 2009’s $7.25 minimum wage and want to ban overtime pay. Bachelors, even widowers, should expect a call.

Our local protector, Ben Cline, has offered not a peep of objection to Vance or Project 2025 and its proposed police state. When you vote, remember, in his prayers, he has a plan for wives and daughters. Cline won’t debate, keeping this gift as a surprise.

Will a Selective Servicing agency track those delaying marriage? Will mating be governed like bovine genetic matching? Why not the best offspring?

Trust them! They’re from the government. They’re here to help. JOE PETITE Rockbridge County
