Jenkins Resigns As Town Attorney

At its regular business meeting on Aug. 13, Goshen Town Council voted to accept the resignation of Jared Jenkins as the town’s attorney.

Jenkins submitted a letter of resignation to the Virginia State Bar in July, meaning he is no longer licensed to practice law in the commonwealth.

The motion to accept Jenkins’ resignation passed in a 3-0 vote, with Council members Amy Tesich and Mike Hicks not in attendance.

The town is in the process of seeking a new attorney, and invited Frances Chester, a lawyer who lives in Augusta Springs, to attend the meeting in hopes of retaining his services as the town attorney.
