Fix, Coffey Seeking BV Council Seat

In a special election that will coincide with the Nov. 5 general elections, Jody Fix and Stanley Coffey will be vying to fill the last year of an unexpired four-year term on Buena Vista City Council.

Fix and Coffey turned in the necessary paperwork prior to the Aug. 16 deadline to get their names on the ballot for this special election.

The winner will take the seat currently held by Todd Jones, who was appointed earlier this year to fill the vacancy created when Tyson Cooper was elected mayor.
