The Rockbridge County High School volleyball team suffered a 3-0 road loss to Alleghany last Thursday in Covington.
With the 25-14, 25-22, 25-17 setback, the Wildcats fell to 0-2, while Alleghany improved to 3-0. Statistics and details on the match were not provided.
Today, Wednesday, the Wildcats will play host to Alleghany in their home opener, starting with junior varsity action at 5:30 p.m. They’ll travel to Fort Defiance on Thursday, starting with JV action at 6 p.m. Next week the Wildcats will play host to Parry McCluer on Monday and then begin Valley District action on Tuesday at Broadway before taking on district rival East Rockingham at home on Thursday, Sept. 12. All three nights will start with JV action at 5:30.
