Medicare Program At Library Next Week

Are you new to Medicare and unsure about how to choose the right plan? How can you find a trustworthy, unbiased guide?

The Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington will host Margie Ferguson, Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) local program coordinator and certified Medicare counselor, on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. for a Medicare information session.

Medicare Open Enrollment begins Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7. Ferguson will cover basics needed to understand and compare original Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, and will explain how to get one-on-one assistance to choose the best option based on individual needs and circumstances.
