First Baptist Church will celebrate the 157th anniversary of the church and the sixth anniversary of Pastor McKinley Williams on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The church will dedicate the Memorial Walker-Wood Windows, and a commemoration plaque will be placed in the downstairs fellowship hall.
The guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be the Rev. Dr. Mark A. Wainwright, pastor of First Baptist Church in Annapolis, Md., and there will be lunch served between services.
At the 3 p.m. service, the guests will be the Rev. Preston Tyler and the choirs and congregation of the Hill Street Baptist Church in Roanoke.
