Garrett Grant, a resident of Glasgow and a student at Liberty University, was ordained as associate, or assistant, pastor of Glasgow Baptist Church this past Sunday. He, along with his wife Ashtyn, will be serving on this field for at least three years while he completes his ministry training at Liberty.
Mark Rogers and Makenzie Camden are scheduled to be baptized at Glasgow Baptist during morning worship services this Sunday, Sept. 22.
A large crowd attended the final Rockin’ the Gorge music concert for the season, with the band, Southpaw. It was a beautiful evening to sit, relax, listen to some good music, with old friends, and met news one. Food was provided by the Glasgow firemen and Bizzee B’s and Holy Cow Ice Cream.
Harry Wright has been a patient at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (old Stonewall Jackson) after becoming ill while at the Glasgow Farmers’ Market last Saturday. We wish him a speedy recovery.
The Farmers’ Market welcomed a new vendor last week, Sara, with eggs and canned goods. Come check out the market this weekend. They are open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
