Saturday afternoon and evening were exciting, fun-filled times at the Rockbridge Regional Fair and Expo. The Farm Critter Scramble featured youngsters doing their best to corral pigs and chickens. The Redneck Olympics included such events as water balloon battles and egg races, while contestants got a little messy participating in watermelon and pie eating contests. For the brave, there was a mechanical bull, and for country music lovers, the night was capped off with a concert by Rockbridge County’s own SJ McDonald. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
