Show Time At The Fair

The hard work of Rockbridge County youths was on display during the Rockbridge County Livestock Show, always a huge part of the Rockbridge Regional Fair and Expo. These photos were taken on Friday as the youths showed the animals that they had fed, trained and groomed. Depending on the class over the two-day show, the animals were judged on their market value or breeding attributes and the youths were judged on their ability to show the animal. The show also featured a livestock auction on Friday night. A total of 33 youths showed livestock this year, along with four showing poultry and two showing both. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
