High Bridge

High Bridge Sunday school classes officially began this past Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Classes are available for all ages from pre-school to adults. Worship service begins at 11 a.m.

In last week’s news, I reported Fabian Garther and family were visiting the area from Germany. Fabian was an exchange student some years ago and lived with Bob and Kathy Gilbert while studying here.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m., the women’s circles will have a joint meeting in the fellowship hall. The meeting will begin with a potato bar, salads and desserts. There will be an overview of the new Bible study for 2024-25. All women of the church are invited to attend.

Wayne Lee Hickman of Stoner Hollow was honored with a 90th birthday luncheon at Beth Horon United Methodist Church this past Sunday. Family and friends attended from Tennessee and other areas of the state. Over 60 church and family members attended the church service and the celebration.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow Food Pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, and close at 11 a.m. The High Bridge congregation is collecting pasta and cooking oil for the food pantry during the month of September.
