The Parry McCluer High School football team coasted to a 55-0 home win over Stonewall Jackson on Friday night at Bobby Williams Field in Buena Vista.
It was the second consecutive win and the largest margin of victory for the Fighting Blues (3-1) so far this season. The Blues scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and held a commanding 48-0 lead, while the Generals (1-3) struggled to respond all night.
Leading PM’s offense was senior running back Jase Barger, who scored three touchdowns.
The Blues will have a bye next Friday before returning to action on Friday, Oct. 4, when they play host to Fort Chiswell at 7 p.m. At halftime, the Blues will honor their 11th Athletic Hall of Fame Class.
