Glasgow

Carolyn Bradley, 258-2720

The Farmers Market had a slower weekend with only three vendors on Friday and two on Saturday. It’s that time of year when the produce is dwindling and customer traffic drops off. They will remain open for a couple more weeks, perhaps dropping back to only Fridays. Announcements of closings will be posted on the market Facebook site and in this column.

Glasgow Baptist Church held a baptismal service last Sunday during which Mark Rogers and granddaughter Makenzie Camden were baptized. Former interim pastor and wife, Larry and Janet Ross of Bedford, were in attendance. The church is planning to hold a voter registration event in the next couple of weeks. Watch for more information on this.

The Concerned Citizens Organization will hold a cakewalk on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. at the Thompson Center.
