The Rockbridge County High School Marching Wildcats will play host to four other local marching bands for the Central Highlands Marching Showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m.
A marching showcase differs from a competition, in that, while there are judges, there will be no scores or ranking of bands at the end of the night. This event gives band directors and their bands an opportunity to receive feedback for the remainder of their competition season.
Bands performing on Tuesday will be coming from Alleghany High School, Bath County High School and Parry McCluer High School. There will also be a special exhibition performance at the end of the night from Southern Virginia University’s Marching Knights.
Admission is $5 per person, $20 per family. Food, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will be going to RCHS Music Boosters.
