Buena Vista

The Buena Vista School Board last week recognized the school system’s Senior of the Month.

Nathan Lee is a senior at Parry McCluer High School and has a 4.1548 GPA. He currently has completed 27 credits of his required 26 for an Advanced Studies Diploma. Nathan also attends the Governor’s School and has 30 hours of college credit through Mountain Gateway Community College. He has played in the Blues band music program for seven years, and is a member of the National Honor Society leadership team at Parry McCluer. Currently, he is ranked first in the senior class.

Student Reps Welcomed

The Buena Vista School Board last week welcomed its student representatives, three seniors from Parry McCluer High School.

Olive King is ranked second in her class and is on the swim team, and she also coaches and teaches swim at the Rockbridge Aquatics Center. Macy Shafer, ranked third in her class, is involved in the National Honor Society, plays tennis, and is taking dual enrollment classes. Natalie Mohler plays three sports and is planning to attend college to become a radiology technician.
