The Thunder BRidge community arts and culture center will open its 14 resident artist studios to the public on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to begin their tour at the wheelchair-accessible dining hall, where a gallery will showcase several works by each resident artist and include details about studio locations. In addition, several guest artists will be sharing their work.
The Globowl Café will offer food and drinks. All of the center’s 100 acres, including most of the 30-some buildings, will be available to explore. Visitors may tour the forest campground, open for reservations through HipCamp.com. Thunder BRidge also offers three cottages through Airbnb.com.
The 14 resident artists include Cynthia Atkins, Susan Brady, Lenny Lyons Bruno, Nina Whitehead, Benjamin Frey, Lauralee Sorensen Hart, James Pannabecker, Karen Pannabecker, Christine Sajecki, Celeste Simon, Melissa Sizemore, Krista Staton, Brinn Willis, and Bee Zwart.
Thunder BRidge is located at 1425 Arnolds Valley Road, Natural Bridge Station, site of the former Natural Bridge Juvenile Corrections Center.
